Chocolate Classes
Our Seattle retail store offers classes for local Seattleites who are interested in making chocolate items, including truffles. We offer classes for kids and adults alike and take place within the store itself. Each class is 1.5 to 2 hours long. Participants will make all items from scratch and at the end of the class be proud of their creations. They will even be able to take home their creations, unless they've eaten them all.
We currently have flexible scheduling for anyone interested in attending any of our classes. We recommend there be 2 or more participants to make it worth our time to offer these classes on demand.
The following are the types of classes participants can sign up for:
- Kids Class
Recommended for ages 5-15. We tailor the program to be more fun by making rice crispy treats and chocolate bars. Kids will usually be broken up into groups of two in order to allow multiple items to be worked on at the same time. - Rolled Truffles
Recommended for ages 13 and higher. We will be creating 2 or 3 hand-rolled truffles from start to end. Participants will learn to create the chocolate ganache (filling), roll the ganache and then dip the ganache in tempered chocolate. Participants will learn how to manually temper chocolate. - Molded Truffles
Recommended for ages 13 and higher. We will be creating 2 or 3 molded truffles from start to end. Participants will learn how to create the chocolate ganache (filling). They will then learn how to manually temper chocolate so that it can be poured into molds we provide. The molds will be various shapes such as bars, hexagons and triangles. The liquid ganache will then be poured into the molds and covered with tempered chocolate on the bases.
Prices are $25 per child under 18 and $45 per adult 18 and over.
